ADMISSION POLICY

Ardmore Adventist Academy exists to provide Seventh-day Adventist Christian education to the youth of its constituent and supporting churches, and to youth in the surrounding community.

Both prospective students and returning students must submit a formal application with the appropriate forms through AE Connect, or by hard-copy if necessary.  School personnel may interview students and parents as well. All applicants are reviewed before admission. Students may be allowed to attend a day or so of school as a temporary admission before formal admission takes place.  Grade Placement testing may also be completed prior to full admission.

No religious test is required of any student upon entering school, but it is expected that all who apply for admission have an earnest desire to attend our school and will respect the Christian principles of the school, agree to attend Bible class and required religious activities, and complete the required religious coursework.

Nondiscrimination policy.

Ardmore Adventist Academy does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national origin or disability in its admission and administration of its educational and admissions policies, scholarship and loan programs and extracurricular and other school-administered programs.

Special Education

Ardmore Adventist Academy seeks to provide a quality education for each of its students. Ardmore Adventist Academy may not have the resources available to accommodate or meet the needs of every prospective student. Therefore, we advise parents of prospective students with special educational needs or physical disabilities to discuss their child’s requirements with the school in detail when they apply.

Admission

Qualifications for admission customarily include a review of factors such as age/maturity of younger students, satisfactory character, previous academic progress, past disciplinary issues, satisfactory financial arrangements (including resolution of outstanding obligations to any previous school), willingness to uphold the school’s philosophy and spiritual orientation, adequate fit between the student and the school; adequacy of school personnel and accommodations to handle any physical, mental, social, emotional, or academic issues; current class size and capacity, and such other issues as the school board deems pertinent.

Admission is a privilege and not a right, and it may be withheld or withdrawn by the academy at its discretion. All new students are on admission probation for the first 90 days.
